Description
Our fair town was featured (and mis-spelled) on the Fox animated series Futurama as the headquarters of the Democratic Order Of Planets (DOOP). According to the august Futurama Encyclopedia, The Democratic Order of Planets was founded in 2945, after the Second Galactic War. Formed to help the galaxy recover from the Omicronian war machine, it quickly grew in power, and now it is the most widely respected and populated organization in the known universe. Its headquarters are located in Weehauken, New New Jersey, after a brief stint in a space station orbiting the Neutral Planet. As this 'history' does not occur until the year 2945, we are not quite sure where DOOP HQ will be located.
