Description

Medal commemorating the 75th anniversary of the incorporation of Weehawken Township in 1934. Front shows a sailing ship (the Half Moon), an Indian and Pilgrim. On reverse, the following wording: WEEHAWKEN PURCHASED FROM THE INDIANS BY THE DUTCH. THE HALF MOON ENTERED WEEHAWKEN COVE IN 1609. TOWNSHIP CHARTER GRANTED IN 1859.
