Colored enamel badge which reads: The Port of New York Authority Compressed Air Employee If ill rush by ambulance to hospital lock at 38th St & 11th Ave, N.Y. City or south of pier K at Hudson River, Weehawken, N.J. by authority The badge is numbered 72. This appears to be a badge given to Lincoln Tunnel employees who worked in compressed air situations. If they became ill, it might be the "bends" and they would need to be taken to a decompression chamber.
