Description

From the New York Times of January 11, 1908... Mayor for a Week. Weehawken executive put out of office for use of abusive language. At a meeting of the Town Board of Weehawken last night, a resolution of ouster was passed against Mayor Morris Frost, who was elected only a week ago. The resolution charged that Frost's administration had been unsatisfactory. He was also charged with using abusive language. It was alleged that he had suspended the police force without warrant of law and was in other ways running things with a high hand. Frost objected to being put out and refused to entertain the motion to that effect. But they understand parliamentary practice over in Jersey and found a way to elect his successor, Emile Grauert, who is now holding down the job.
