This appears to be a label or advertisement from L. (Louis) Linnewerth's Steam Brewery. According to the information filed with this item in the collection of the Weehawken Historical Commission, the item dates from the early 1880s. The brewery was located on Park Avenue between 35th and 36th Streets. The notes say that this building was actually on the Union City side of Park Avenue. According to Bob Muller (a Weehawken resident from 1953-1997), this building later housed the Petermann Soda Company.
