Subject

Description
A political broadside, called the Weehawken Record, was published by the Second Ward Republican Campaign Committee in 1933, urging Second Ward citizens to vote for Arthur Abrahamsen to the Township Committee and to replace the "corrupt" Democratic slate.
Of particular note, the Republican Party rails against "the lawlessness caused by the use of Police protection in the trafficking of liquor." Prohibition was still the law of the land and would remain so until December 5, 1933, when the 21st Amendment was ratified.
